Installation instructions

  • STEP 1 — Remove stem

Loosen the stem pinch bolts, then remove the top cap.

  • STEP 2 — Remove stem & spacers

Slide the stem off the steerer tube.

Remove spacers, compression ring, and dust seals, keeping them in order.

Tip: Use a cable tie to keep everything together.

  • STEP 3 — Remove fork & old bearings

Lower the fork out of the frame (a gentle tap may help).

Remove the upper and lower bearings and any remaining seals.

  • STEP 4 — Clean & prepare

Clean the bearing cups, crown race, and all parts using degreaser.
    Dry thoroughly.

  • STEP 5 — Install new bearings

Lightly grease the crown race and fit the lower bearing.
Refit the fork, then grease and install the top bearing.
Chamfered outer edge always faces into the frame.

  • STEP 6 — Reassemble & preload

Refit compression ring, seals, spacers, and stem.
Install the top cap and gently tighten until play is removed.
    Do not over-tighten.

  • STEP 7 — Align, torque & test

Align the bars, tighten stem bolts evenly to torque spec.
Bounce the bike and check for play.
If smooth and knock-free, you’re ready to ride.
